As budget travelers, we loved the 24-hour access to the main cabin, allowing us to play games and prepare meals at any time. The clean and well-kept toilet stalls were a pleasant surprise, and the "bathing area" behind the check-in counter was a thoughtful touch. The location near Athabasca Falls was perfect for a scenic hike, and we enjoyed meeting fellow travelers during our stay. The hostel had a chilled and sustainable vibe, making us feel closer to nature than anywhere else on our trip. Additionally, the kitchen was clean and had drinking water, and the hostel provided power supply for charging devices.

The cozy chalet-style rooms and comfortable bedding kept me warm during the chilly mornings. The solar lighting around the hotel added a magical touch. And waking up to fluffy snowfall was a dream come true! Although the double bed was a little short for me, it didn't take away from the overall enchanting stay. I highly recommend this hostel for a unique and lovely winter getaway.

We had an amazing stay at Hi Athabasca Falls! the main cabin was cozy, with a lovely communal area and a great kitchen. Jeff, our exceptional host, was so helpful throughout our stay. the location was stunning, surrounded by trees and perfect for a nature walk. the outdoor cabins were spacious and clean, with private beds. Despite not having running water, there were two sinks with a large water tank available for brushing teeth and washing dishes. the kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the common room had a wide variety of seating options and board games. The setting in the woods was dreamy, and being so close to nature, we barely needed cell reception. Cons: Nothing, all was good! 👍.

The location of the hostel was ideal, with easy access to the highway and just a short drive to Athabasca Falls. the setting in the woods created a dreamy atmosphere, perfect for a Christmas getaway. the communal areas, including the kitchen and living room, were cozy and charming, making it feel like a home away from home. Despite the lack of running water, the hostel was well-equipped and managed, ensuring a comfortable stay.
One downside of the hostel was the lack of shower facilities in the public bathrooms, which was informed to us beforehand. This unpleasant encounter with the staff ruined an otherwise pleasant experience at the hostel.

The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in the wilderness surrounded by beautiful nature. We were able to enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness of the area. Plus, it was conveniently located near hiking trails and other attractions, making it easy to explore and enjoy the outdoors. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always providing us with great recommendations and assistance.
The lack of showers was a bit inconvenient, especially after a long hike. However, we were able to shower at another nearby hostel, so it wasn't a major issue.
